Press Right Alt + Right Ctrl and select a sentence, text range, region or existing highlight. Use the reader’s translation chooser to select a target language.

A language change stays anchored at the current sentence. It cannot change what has already been spoken. The original text remains in the source app.

Reader translation produces a translation, not a summary. Check important details against the source; wording, names and specialist terms can be translated incorrectly.

Ordinary reading stays faithful to the original language unless you ask for translation. Nima needs an internet connection to process the selected text and generate speech. The privacy page explains the services involved.

Selecting a screen region can help with text that cannot be extracted directly. Make the passage large and legible before selecting it.

Can I translate a scanned page?

You can select a visible region containing legible text. Recognition runs before translation, so errors in the recognized words can affect the result.

Will changing language restart the whole article?

The reader keeps its place at the current sentence rather than treating previously spoken text as unread.
